Hi Ivan! Of course the CDC, FDA, SAGE ad nauseum know how mentally & physically damaging all of it - including masks - are. If one believes that this whole scamdemic is a depopulation agenda (& I do), forcing people to wear masks that can kill more is a feature, not a bug. Masks are also a visible symbol of compliance w/ tyranny & a way to dehumanize us.
Same w/ isolating people from each other, leading to despair, depression, substance abuse, suicide &/or inability to access healthcare for other physical or mental issues & therefor dying @ home.
Yes - you are spot on. Every policy is orchestrated with 'fake compassion' - keeping you safe, we're all in it together, 'a tragedy last night 2 people died of Covid19', etc., All done in the name of fake safety, fake compassion, and fake public health.
It's quite shocking the sheer scale, size and enormity of it all.
The hypocrisy is galling. That they pretend to “care” about the “most vulnerable,” (which would be the frail elderly & others of any age w/ major comorbidities that are ALWAYS susceptible to & dying of annual respiratory illness) & then putting wu-flu patients into nursing homes was unreal. Those people suck up expensive services via social security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. It was diabolical & deliberate. As is all of it for all of us
The overriding reality in all this from the beginning is that if masks were effective, setting aside all other issues, then it would be very stark and clear in the data. So, one need not really insist, per se, that masks are worse (I agree that they are). All you need do is point out that no data shows any clear and convincing evidence that they do much of a squat. They do not. And that is plenty to deride their usage and all mandates.
Spot on Richard. I saw your name on my likes earlier. Nice to see you here on Substack - and I found your page as well of course. The real issue today is trying to convince all the useful idiots that they are following pseudoscience. I am working on a book with that term in its title. Due to the ongoing corruption, censorship, mass media propaganda, it is hard to turn the tide - But I've noticed a great new trend recently, there are now countless new organizations, foundations and new media organizations that have been born in this era, and more and more academics, scientists, and influencers are adding their voices to the opposition to all of Xi Jinpings Covid pseudoscience, promoted via the WHO adn their global Covid-cartel. So the tide is turning. And a really great example of that was the recent success of the World Council for Health ( a new global body) that galvanized the global community into stopping the Biden-Xi amendments to the 2005 International Health Regulations, which were on the agenda at the recent World Health Assembly. The fight is not over by a long shot, as they are destroying the world with war, inflation, oil and gas hikes, and food production being destroyed wholesale in the USA (have you been following this story??) - But they are losing some significant battles. And the biggest thing that they have lost is the ignorance of the general public - a huge community now is obsessively focused on these globalists and shining a light on them - and they don't like it.
Yep, I pretty much have tabs on everything. It's quite strange to me that just as I moved here to Thailand mid-Jan 2020—intending to meander around Asia for a long time (former resident of Japan in the 80s, so been all over these parts in a past life)—this Covid thing broke loose, was embraced globally, and just would not subside.
But you're right. Much has developed in the wake of what I call mass overreach and overplaying of hands.
Perhaps it's a bit reminiscent of Yamamoto's sleeping dragon quote after Pearl Harbor.
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." -- Isoroku Yamamoto
Situation in Phuket depends where you are. I'm at the southern tip, Rawai, lots and lots of farang. Cops leave us alone. So, no real mask enforcement here. Go north of Chalong Circle, all changes. Swarming with highway bandits. I avoid like the plague.
Nothing I've seen that segregates poisoned from not (I'm not).
Gas is really the only thing I've noticed with markedly higher prices. Of course, Phuket is a higher-priced region to begin with.
There's this. The PM was in Phuket yesterday and took off his mask in the middle of a speech. Probably not long now, with that sort of display.
Why did they reimpose masks outdoors. It is so insane. I'll never forget during the first lockdown driving down to Bang Saen beach with my gf, and they have kilometers of the beach roped off with signs warning about 40,000 baht fines to go on the beach - the outdoors the safest place in a pandemic, and you can't get safer than the fresh onshore breeze off the ocean. I'd like to throttle the people who dreamed this stuff up.
It was was a complete get on the bus get off the bus, hurry up and wait thing. Some officials and media got exuberant and got out of line. You well know that in Thailand, face is everything and making sure everything is coordinated top down.
So now that PM has regained control, HE can be the one to save us from the dread of masks.
Interesting theory and it makes sense. However, many mask mandates were by businesses and restaurants, even when the county/city did not mandate. Also, one would expect higher death rates in more urban area which are more likely to have public mandates due to higher transmission rates, so I am not convinced the effect is as large as claimed
First the reason that businesses mandated it is because they got top down pressure to do so. this is a top down influence war.
Second - data doesn't lie.
Numerous data scientists have been putting out charts that show the differences between masked and unmasked areas and deaths.
The earliest I remember was South Dakota - which people forget didn't do any of the Xi jinping policies - and when compared to North Dakota, which had a mask mandate - more deaths there. Ivor Cummins the data scientist on YouTube has produced some good charts on this facemasks.
And third - regardless of whether businesses thought they had the right to mandate it, if governments have the data, then they know the harms are increasing in areas with mask mandates. We have seen too much of deliberate harms done to dismiss that idea. They know. But they mandate it - which is one step above businesses.
I have personally seen enough comparisons and personal observations where I live to know that when the masks become mandatory deaths go up. That's what the data shows.
In Taipei we have had mask mandates for 18 months and low deaths until May this year. They seem more correlated with vaccine uptake (65% boosted here, much of that in last several months) at least until the dry kindle is burned up like in US. Thats my observation
Check out when the mass vax started. Then track it on Worldometer. In Thailand we had 91 deaths in the 12 months to March 22nd 2021 the day the first batch of COVAX shots arrived - and mass vaxxing started in April - at that point we had 27k 'cases' - now cases are over 4 million, and deaths 30k. All through this period from mid 2021 the sounds of ambulances were incessant - everywhere. every hour all day and half the night. they've only recently gone silent. The graphs show it. Same story for numerous countries that had no Covid prevax, and closed borders. Where did it come from? And another link - is the PCR positivity rate - it skyrocketed from below zero - like 0.001%. on most places to stunning % - Sydney Australia early this year hit 33% - one in three testing positive for Covid post vax. It's no mystery - the spike protein is the toxin and it goes everywhere and comes out of your nostrils.

More people killed in the name of “safety”.

We'll see. I have hopes.
Best wishes from Rawai, Phuket.
What was Yamamoto's quote?
How's the situation in Phuket? Masks? Entrance restrictions for the unpoisoned?
Prices?
Best wishes from Bangkok mate.

3 things to reflect on.
